C & Y - Child and Youth Counselling Mental Health Burnaby or New West resident. Children and youth 18 years of age and under and their parents. Counselling for child and family (excluding sexual abuse issues) exhibiting mental health concerns. Up to 12 sessions
Family Counselling Open Burnaby or New West resident. Children and youth 18 years of age and under and their family. Long term individual and/or family counselling for a range of family issues. Can involve sessions with the entire family or any combination of family members. Up to 12 sessions
High Risk Youth Counselling Program MCFD Burnaby or New West resident. Youth 18 years of age and under. For teens involved in high-risk behaviour who may not be suitable for other programs (i.e. consistency may be an issue). May involve liaison with MCFD Integrated Youth Team. Appointments may be at MCFD, Cameray, or outreach. Up to 12 sessions
Long Term Sexual Abuse Counselling Open Burnaby or New West resident. Children and youth 18 years of age and under and their parents. Historic sexual abuse issues with clear disclosure reported to appropriate authorities. Long term sexual abuse counselling for historic sexual abuse disclosure. Up to 12 sessions
SHIP - Sexual Health Intervention Program Open Burnaby or New West resident. Children 12 years of age and under and their parents. Displaying sexually intrusive behaviour. No past history of sexual abuse. Long term Sexual Health Intervention Program. Long term counselling for sexually intrusive children (children exhibiting sexual behaviour problems) 12 years of age and under and their families and/or consultation with parents. Up to 12 sessions
Short Term Family Counselling MCFD Burnaby or New West resident. Children and youth 18 years of age and under and their family. Experiencing situational crisis. Immediate short term counselling for families in crisis experiencing situational problems not an ongoing lifestyle (i.e. family break-up, physical abuse, death, etc.). Up to 8 sessions
Short Term Sexual Abuse Counselling Open Burnaby or New West resident. Children and youth 18 years of age and under and their parents. Recent clear sexual abuse disclosure reported to appropriate authorities. Immediate short term counselling for child/youth following recent sexual abuse disclosure. Up to 8 sessions
Trauma Counselling MCFD Burnaby or New West resident. Children and youth 18 years of age and under and their family. Long term counselling for trauma issues (i.e. physical abuse, witnessing violence). Up to 12 sessions

To provide service to children/youth who are victims of child abuse/assault including those who may choose not to be involved with the criminal justice system. As needed
Parent Support Program Open Burnaby or New West resident. Young parents with a child aged newborn - 5. Prevention and early intervention services to parents and parents-to-be. Individual counselling and group training modules. Variable
