Sharing the Load: Building Family Habits that Work for Everyone

February 20 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

When one parent carries most of the household work, burnout is common—and children notice. They learn who steps in, who steps back, and what’s “expected” of them later in life. This workshop focuses on practical strategies for sharing responsibility in ways that support children’s independence and protect parental well-being. We’ll explore how modelling, routines, and clear expectations shape children’s attitudes toward work, partnership, and responsibility. Participants will gain concrete tools for reducing mental load, engaging children in age-appropriate ways, and shifting household dynamics without blame or conflict.

Between 10:00am and 10:30am, parents and children will have time to get settled.

Workshop content will be delivered from 10:30am-11:30am.

The last 30 minutes will be reserved for Q&A and mingling.

Childcare is available. Pre-registration required. Space is limited.

Registration opens 11am, Monday 26 January via this link.
